For the record, I am NOT an anti-Spock/Uhura fan. I actually love them together! I'm mostly a Spirk shipper (OTP). Why can't the two not co-exist in my mind?

You could ship Kirk, Spock and Uhura as a threesome then you wouldn't have to choose. Good luck getting Kirk to be in a committed relationship with anyone though.
